John Robinson Unveils Music Video For New Single “Martin & Malcolm”

John Robinson has released dozens of solo and collaborative projects over the last 25 years, and he’s back with a new album called King JR. With Blu on the boards, King JR is a passionate and invigorating album about the experiences and growth of a black man in America and how he channels words of optimism, empowerment, love and hope to stay grounded and standing firmly on his square.

The album spans 13 tracks including stand outs “Motherland,” “Martin & Malcolm,” and the Blu-featured track “Heavy Ghetto.”

The first and only single, “Martin & Malcolm” is out now, alongside the formal announcement of John Robinson releasing King JR on June 4th via Boston-based record label EveryDejaVu

“Martin & Malcolm” is the closing track and  is the introduction for John Robinson’s King JR project and a fitting one. It’s a refreshing take on J.R.’ s experiences in hip-hop with music, business, family and more and how he maintains a balance all while making the creative entrepreneur lifestyle look so appealing over a bouncy beat provided by Blu. Introducing it as a first single defines the creative balance that’s been building for J.R. for some time now – an Emcee who has been releasing music for  over two decades, while also enterprising pathways into business, education, tech and more.

“Oh man it’s been so long, never a need to prolong, Instead I just go on!”
