21-year-old R&B singer Marzz announces her debut EP ‘Love Letterz.’ Out on Thursday, June 17 via Keep Cool/RCA Records, the six-song project is a captivating introduction that fuses the Louisville starlet’s classic R&B and gospel influences.
Out now is Marzz’s new single “Countless Times,” a swaying ballad grappling with the pain and realization of moving on from a broken relationship. Originally written as a freestyle, Marzz recorded “Countless Times” after encouragement from her online fans. The pared down track, led by Marzz’s entrancing vocals and dulcet bass tones, is accompanied by a lyric video that provides a glimpse at the young artist’s magnetic live performance.
“Countless Times” follows singles “So Frequently,” which The FADER calls “a track that yearns in day-glo,” and “Cleopatra,” which featured production from dream team Timbaland, Justin Mosley, Jordan Mosley and NES. Dubbed a “future urban and rhythmic radio success” by Rated R&B, Marzz’s three releases of striking, vocal-led R&B creations offers a taste of what is yet to come.
Earlier this month, Marzz delivered a staggering acoustic video of “Cleopatra,” indulging longtime fans that have followed the R&B singer since her days of uploading mini-performances onto Instagram. The video showcases Marzz’s versatility as she expertly transitions between singing and rapping, aided only by a pianist and guitar.
