Rapper, producer, DJ, multimedia artist and activist MH The Verb uses a compelling form of Afrofuturism to tell stories and make socio-political commentary. His forthcoming album Jupiter Sci-Fi will serve as the third full-length installment in the Afronaut saga, a conceptual multimedia series based on a Black sci-fi heroine from the future who travels back in time to inspire the world. Due out on November 2nd, the album sees MH reunited with his Philly-based Arthouse95 crew, fusing Hip-Hop, Jazz, Electronic and Funk. Today (10/14/2021), MH shared the official music video for the album’s Afro-Latin inspired single “Moment In Salento“. Shot at Skyranch Cannabis, an organic cannabis farm in the Santa Cruz Mountains, and edited by a 15-person crew of POC creatives from the Bay Area, the video will serve as the opening segment of a 20min visual collage for the closing evening of Colombia’s virtual MINGA International Arts Festival on October 16.

While studying Ethnocology and Urban Studies at the University of Pittsburgh, MH formed the hip-hop fusion band The BNVz (also known as, the Beats N Verbz). Their dynamic live performances earned them “The Best Band in Pittsburgh” title by the Pitt News, MH turned heads by winning the Sprite Liquid Mix Freestyle Battle and later was featured at The Roots’ 2010 Annual Summer Picnic Concert in Philadelphia. MH went on to share stages with A-listers such as Kid Cudi, Wiz Khalifa, Bone Thugs-N-Harmony, Mayer Hawthorne, Jedi Mind Tricks, Tanya Morgan, The Foreign Exchange, and more.
MH now serves as lead member of multimedia art collective known as ArtHouse95. The Philly-based group creates thoughtful and progressive art experiences, curated by MH The Verb, GR Stone (keyboardist/songwriter), and Cylon (audio engineer) through collaborative events, art, and various fusions of soul music. Extended ArtHouse members span the length of I-95 along the east coast, hence the name ArtHouse95. MH continues to work with organizations to empower young people through art, and is currently gearing up to release new installments of the Afronaut saga.
