LA native multi-instrumentalist, producer, and visual creative GYYPS has shared his new single & video “Rinse Repeat” via Create Music Group, available to stream now on YouTube + all DSPs worldwide. The track comes on the heels of the success of “Careless,” which received wide praise from outlets like Wonderland, Flaunt, Ones to Watch, & many others.  GYYPS’ was also recently featured on Felly’s new single, “Slim Jawn.”

“A lot of times I just like to make a lot of songs, one after the other, rinse and repeat,” says GYYPS on the new single. “I just heard this beat and started recording. I wanted the vocal to ride on some chill vibes. No thought really went into this one…it’s all just energy.”

Having lived through a rough childhood surrounded by drug addiction & violence in and around the home, music has helped GYYPS share his life stories. With every project, it’s become very easy to see his perspective as a young kid understanding manhood and its responsibilities, expressing self-empowerment and awareness but also free-spiritedness, problems with relationships, drug addiction, and the “rat race” of social/financial mobility. As an independent artist, GYYPS has amassed over 80 million global streams and has headlined multiple North American tours, including festival appearances at Summerfest and Outside Lands. He has supported the likes of Travis Scott and Waka Flocka Flame and collaborated with producers Wallis Lane, OZ, Foreign Teck, Louis Bell, Mike n Keys, Twice As Nice, and more.

“I want to keep outdoing myself,” GYYPS declares, and his newest set of songs does just that. These tracks are more thought out and manicured than his previous work, and they’re more diverse, too. He’s evolved from a Soundcloud rapper at USC’s prestigious music school to a successful artist who infuses elements of rock, dancehall, R&B and hip hop into his sound, while also focusing on the Eastern music philosophy of “ma,” or the space between the notes.
