Emerging from Richmond, Virginia in the latter half of 2021, Moneá has already made a powerful impression on the R&B and burgeoning Neo-Soul scenes on both sides of the Atlantic. Moneá’s highly anticipated 777 EP arrives today, featuring standout lead single ‘Universe’, Moneá is ready to take her listeners on a spiritual journey inspiring self-love, unity and knowing your worth. 

Softly spoken yet self-assured, Moneá’s introspective lyrics take centre-stage on ‘Are You Listening?’, the second single from the upcoming project. Navigating progressive Neo-soul production with equally dynamic melodies, this track challenges those who did not take Moneá seriously when she was starting out – ‘are you listening now?’. Featuring atmospheric production from Solomon Dixon and Charlie P, ‘Are You Listening?’ contains a beguiling depth and emotional maturity for such a young artist. 

Named after the 19-year old’s angel numbers, Moneá explains that the 777 EP “is a literal body of work to show the journey that I went on to be where I am today mentally and spiritually. I put my emotions in this EP and wanted to share things that I’ve learned and realized, and in turn, that could help others. I want people to understand that everything is working out for them and we have so much more power in ourselves than we think”. 

Moneá Stephanie Allen was born in Richmond, Virginia – the multiracial daughter of a military father from Massachusetts and mother from Petersburg. An old soul despite only being 19, Moneá attributes her musical influences to the Neo-Soul vibes of Erykah Badu and seasoned contemporaries Jhene Aiko, Sza, and Frank Ocean.

Thanks to her parents, Moneá grew up listening to various genres around the house. In her elementary years she dived into music, participating in chorus and school plays. After finishing high school and entering college she delved into her other passion of cinematography whilst also nourishing her love for music. One way this has manifested is in her thriving spiritual TikTok page, amassing over 35,000 followers and 1 million likes, and reflecting both genuine intentions and a strong entrepreneurial mindset. 

Ultimately, Moneá’s goal is to help others in their journey of learning to love themselves and trusting in the process of life.
