Ohio’s battle rap extraordinaire LDG Is Like has just released his new album I Was Perfect But You Ruined Me. A highlight from the project is “Cold Air,” a smooth heartfelt Hip-Hop song about the small details of relationships that men aren’t allowed to speak aloud. LDG flips Spandau Ballet’s classic song “True.” On “Cold Air,” LDG’s songwriting is top-notch and his delivery is flawless.

LDG Is Like, out of Akron, OH, is an innovative rapper with incredible range and versatility. LDG’s journey began in 1997 at the age of seven years old, recording his first song on a cassette tape to Nas’ ground-breaking single ‘Nas Is Like’. Building his own imprint, Won Love Records, the talented rapper celebrated a huge milestone in his career with his 2021 single ‘How Much A hater Cost’ from ‘The Warmest Part Of The Shade’ EP. Accumulating over 1 million views on the website, more than 500,000 streams on Spotify, and 100,000 views on renowned hip-hop outlet World Star’s YouTube page, he continues to prove that he is not only an incredibly talented rapper but a philosopher, astute analyst and potentially the next thing big thing that hip-hop needs. His essence is reminiscent of the likes of legends like Ice Cube, LL Cool J, DMX, Mobb Deep and his favourite, Nas. Working with many industry names including Big Heff, Maino, Mickey Factz, Big Trill, and more whilst being crowned as a top performer in the Ohio Battle Rap League, his success led to being booked in the KOTD and Don’t Flop battle leagues.
